Kauri Pine

Kauri Pines can be found in drier rain forest where other tree species experience difficulty in attaining large dimensions.

The female seed cones are globose and disintegrate at maturity to release the seeds. The male cones are smaller and cylindrical.

Kauri Pines are large symmetrical trees growing up to 30 meters high. The tree naturally drops its lower limbs as it grows to form a tall clear trunk.
