Garden Skink

Garden Skinks are very common in suburban backyards.

They come in grey to copper-brown with darker sides containing a white stipe.

The skinks feed on flies, ants insects and worms.

If threatened, skinks can drop their tail to protect themselves. Female Skinks lay up to seven eggs, but often share nests with other families. Females can also store sperm to produce a second clutch of eggs. All skinks are sun loving creatures.
