Common Treefern

This fern can be found in moist mountain areas but will tolerate drier conditions more than other tree ferns. Unusual for ferns, this species can tolerate direct sun.

The Common Treefern propagates itself with spores which are carried on wind and in water. The ideal climate is humid with moist soils.

This species of fern is as the name suggests – a tree fern. It grows quite tall, up to ten metres, possess a ‘fury’ like trunk with green fronds emanating from the top of the tree.
