Common Maidenhair-fern

Adiantum aethiopicum

Like most ferns, the Common Maidenhair finds its way to damp dark corners of the forest and beside creeks. They are also very common in urban gardens.

This fern is rhizomic and creates the root and shoots of a new plant.

The fronds of this fern are comprised of delicate half-moon shaped leaves attached to fine black stems
