Bull Shark

Bull sharks are found around the world in coastal areas of warm oceans, in rivers and lakes, and occasionally salt and freshwater streams. They prefer murky water for hunting.

These sharks mainly feed on bony fish and small sharks, including other bull sharks, and stingrays.

Bull sharks are able to regulate themselves to live in either fresh or salt water. To conserve energy they use the tidal flow as it moves downriver. As a distraction tactic, the sharks regurgitate food in order to escape from a predator. Bull sharks have a bite force, weight for weight, the highest among all cartilaginous fishes.

Bull sharks are large and stout, grey on top and white below.
