The Brisbane Golden wattle is a popular urban species, but originates near creeks, on the margins of rainforests and on hillsides on rocky, sandy soils.

This flowering tree is propagated through seed dispersal.

The Brisbane Golden Wattle grows to seven metres high and six metres in width. It possess a golden yellow ball-shaped flower and long, then green leaves.
